HSE & QUALITY
Safety. Quality. Integrity. Operational Excellence.
At Medaan Engineering Services Limited (MESL), Health, Safety, Environment and Quality are fundamental to how we plan, execute and deliver every project.
We are committed to protecting our people, clients, assets, communities and the environment while delivering engineering solutions that meet defined technical, safety, quality and performance requirements.
Our approach is built on prevention, accountability, compliance, continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Health & Safety
Protecting People Through Proactive Risk Management
We believe every incident is preventable through effective planning, competent execution and disciplined risk management.
Our safety framework focuses on:
Risk Assessment & Hazard Control
We systematically identify, assess and control hazards before and during work. Where applicable, we use Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), Hazard Registers and Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems.
Risk controls follow the recognised Hierarchy of Controls, prioritising elimination and engineering controls before administrative measures and personal protective equipment.
Incident Reporting & Investigation
All incidents, near misses, unsafe conditions and environmental events are reported, investigated and addressed promptly.
Where required, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) is used to identify underlying causes, implement corrective actions and prevent recurrence.
HSE performance is monitored through appropriate leading and lagging indicators, including inspections, training, near-miss reporting, corrective-action closure and incident statistics.
Occupational Health
We identify and manage occupational health risks associated with our activities, including exposure to noise, vibration, hazardous substances, manual handling, electrical hazards, extreme temperatures and other workplace conditions.
Where required, personnel undergo appropriate medical surveillance and fitness-for-duty assessments.

Personal Protective Equipment
Appropriate PPE is provided based on identified risks and applicable site requirements. Personnel are required to use PPE correctly and maintain compliance with established safety procedures.
Emergency Preparedness
Project and operational locations are supported by appropriate Emergency Response Plans, emergency communication procedures, evacuation arrangements, muster points, first-aid provisions and emergency equipment.
Emergency preparedness is reinforced through drills, training and periodic review.
Contractor & Visitor Safety
Our HSE requirements extend to contractors, suppliers, subcontractors, visitors and other third parties working with or visiting our facilities and project sites.
Contractors are subject to appropriate HSE prequalification, induction, competency verification, site controls and performance monitoring.
Environment
Responsible Engineering for a Sustainable Future
Medaan recognises its responsibility to minimise the environmental impact of its operations and projects.
We are committed to:
- Preventing pollution of air, water and land.
- Minimising waste and promoting reuse, recycling and responsible disposal.
- Using energy, water and materials efficiently.
- Managing hazardous and electronic waste through approved and appropriately licensed channels.
- Preventing and responding effectively to chemical and hydrocarbon spills.
- Managing emissions, dust and other environmental impacts associated with our operations.
- Protecting ecosystems and biodiversity within our areas of operation.
- Supporting practical opportunities to reduce emissions and improve resource efficiency.
- Incorporating environmental considerations into project planning, engineering and execution.
Quality Management
Engineering Quality Built Into Every Deliverable
Quality at Medaan is not an inspection activity at the end of a project—it is embedded throughout the entire delivery process.
Our quality approach focuses on: Plan → Engineer → Procure → Execute → Inspect → Test → Commission → Document → Improve.
We apply appropriate controls to ensure that engineering solutions, materials, workmanship, installations, testing and documentation conform to agreed specifications and applicable standards. We apply appropriate controls to ensure that engineering solutions, materials, workmanship, installations, testing and documentation conform to agreed specifications and applicable standards.
